Intel has started major cuts again, Israel s Kiryat Gat factory closed

Oregon Live and CTech reported that Intel began to scale up staff on the 7th, affecting US and Israeli employees. The layoffs may affect thousands of employees, but Intel has not yet disclosed the number of layoffs or how long it will last.
Intel has notified the staff of the Grind Foundry Department to reduce the reduction by 15% to 20%, involving thousands of positions. Intel also planned to close the car department and cut most of its employees. Last year, Intel Orega sanctions cut about 3,000 positions, and the layoffs are about the same. In addition to Orega's layoffs, Intel also recently notified the California government that the Silicon Valley headquarters will cut off a hundred employees.
Israeli part, Intel began to notify the cutters on the 7th, which is part of the latest cutters. This time, the layoffs affected the Kiryat Gat factory for the first time, which has never been affected in the past, but is now a main disaster area for layoffs. CTech is estimated to affect hundreds of employees.
CTech data, Intel Israel has about 9,300 employees and about 4,000 are at the Kiryat Gat factory. According to ynet, Kiryat Gat factory has received a large amount of government support over the years and has not laid off employees due to Intel's commitment to Israel. But Intel now believes that the Kiryat Gat factory has passed, the factory selection may enter the evaluation.
