Legend: Lamens needs to show courage and be the master of the penalty area, and their territory cannot be violated

Recently, Manchester United legend Stepney talked about the team's new player Lamons. He believes that many goalkeepers are too timid now, and he hopes that Lamons can show enough courage.

Stepuni said: "Like all young goalkeepers, Lamens needs to show courage and be their master. Many goalkeepers are not aware that the 18-yard penalty area, especially the area between the six-yard line and the penalty point, is their territory and cannot be violated."

"This is their territory, they must control it and show courage and authority. If they can do this, they will immediately win the respect of their teammates and opponents. Some might say that growing up in the Belgian football environment is too stressed in the derby directly, but it may also be the best opportunity for him to show his abilities."

Stepuni joined Manchester United in 1966 with a record transfer fee of £55,000 and made his debut against Manchester City, and he believes that Lamens can solve Amorin's goalkeeper position.

Stepuni recalled: "I remember my debut, I successfully caught a cross from an opponent in a game, which made me and my teammates feel more confident. We finally won 1-0. Lamens needed to show the same desire to prove that he has the inner strength needed for a top goalkeeper."

Stepuni also mentioned the example of Schmeichel, who was not well known when he joined Manchester United from Brondby in 1991, but eventually became a club legend. Stepney stressed that Lamens needs to control the penalty area like Schmeichel and show his personality.

Stepuni added: "The problem of Manchester United goalkeeper is not new. Since Schmeichel left, Manchester United tried several goalkeepers to find Van der Sar. De Gea succeeded Van der Sar in 2011. Despite the difficult start, he finally showed the qualities that a top goalkeeper should have."

23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Lamons joined Manchester United from Antwerp for £18.2 million and he may make his debut in the Manchester City derby on Sunday.
