Jones: Lima is recovering well from his ACL injury and Luke Shaw has found his rhythm at left center back

On Manchester United's new podcast Inside Carrington, Phil Jones candidly shares his thoughts on Lisandro Martinez's return and explains why a slow and steady approach to recovery is crucial.

"A long injury period can be very frustrating," Jones explained. "I've been through it myself. When you're in the gym and starting rehab, and seeing your teammates out training every day, it's tough. You need a strong support system to help you get through it. But looking at the current photos, he is in very good physical condition, and I believe he is ready and has put in a huge effort to recover."

"Front Cross It is always difficult to fully recover from ligament (ACL) injuries. Therefore, you need to be very focused and meticulous in managing these injuries. It is very good that he can recover to this point, just need to be patient for a while, and I believe the coach will handle it properly."

Of course, whenever Lisandro is ready to play, he will have to win back the starting position through his performance, and this will not be easy, because Luke Shaw has performed well in the left center back position.

"I have to say, in the last five games I've watched, Luke Shaw has really found his rhythm in this position," Jones said. "He looks very confident and comfortable, and I think Luke Shaw performs best when he's comfortable in the game."

"I thought he was really good defensively against Nottingham Forest at the weekend. When the ball enters the penalty area, he stays close to the opponent and makes timely blocks, and he always reads the game well. "When the ball moves from one side to the other, he can quickly intervene, almost like playing the role of left center back. His ability to move forward and attract opponents makes him increasingly comfortable in this position."
