Post: Zinchenko lost tax issues and had to pay £300,000
The Daily Mail reported that Zinchenko lost a lawsuit with the United Kingdom's General Taxation and Customs Agency (HMRC) and was required to pay £300,000.
The Ukrainian defender who was loaned to Nottingham Forest from Arsenal was issued a recovery order by the HMRC for not paying corporate income tax. The Sun also reported that he was additionally taxed £35,000 due to his accounting firm issues.
Zinchenko, 28, applied for voluntary liquidation of his company "Alex-Zinchenko Image Rights Company (OZIR)" at the end of August, these publicly inquired details were disclosed.
Zinchenko reportedly earned £150,000 a week with his parent team Arsenal, and his nine-year career in England was extremely successful. From Manchester City to Nottingham, their career income is circulated through OZIR.
HMRC had previously applied to the High Court to dissolve Zinchenko's company. In February this year, the Ukrainian representative reached a settlement by agreeing to pay the arrears, but the specific amount was never disclosed.
