Guardiola talks about hiring Linders: I think he has worked with Klopp for so many years and must be very outstanding

Manchester City coach Guardiola was interviewed by Sky Sports and talked about Linders, who served as the team's assistant coach this summer.

"I know Linders has worked with Klopp for many years, and I thought to myself - OK, if he had worked with Klopp for so many years, this guy would have been great.

After that he went to Salzburg and had experience as a head coach, we only talked for a day, and sometimes the decision came from feeling, Liverpool has been doing well against us for the past 10 years, and I think he can give us something that might not have last season, like rhythm, intensity, and another football vision.

From day one, I felt like we had an incredible connection. I could say that working with me was very easy-going, and because I gave them a lot of room to do what they thought they had to do. I remember we only had one phone call and I said, OK, let's work together.

Am I really good to get along with? Yes, very easy to get along with. It might be a little harder for the players, but it's very easy to get along with for my team."
