Chelsea Women s Football Official: 20-year-old American forward Alisa Thompson joins and signs until 2030

Chelsea Women's Football Official Announced 20-year-old US international Alyssa Thompson joined from Angel City, and the two sides signed until 2030.

In 2023, Alisa became the youngest player in the American Women's Professional Football League (NWSL) draft. She was selected by Angel City as the No. 1 pick and entered the professional league directly from high school. While attending Harvard Westlake School, Thompson won the Gatorade National Player Award in her sophomore season, scoring 48 goals and 14 assists in 17 games.

Alisa's first national team appearance was in October 2022, when she made her substitute Rapinoe in the 84th minute in a full game at Wembley Stadium. At the time of 17 years and 334 days, she became the youngest American female football player to make her debut since January 2016.

In April 2023, Alisa started for the national team for the first time and played for 90 minutes, becoming the first U20 player to start for the US women's football team since 2018. So far, she has played 22 times for the US women's football team and scored 3 goals. She scored 15 goals in 63 games before leaving Angel City.
