BBC: Manchester United signs at most one new goalkeeper in front of the window, reconsider Argentina s goalkeeper

BBC reported that Manchester United will introduce at most a new goalkeeper before closing the window, and Villa goalkeeper Martinez re-entered Manchester United's vision.

Manchester United have been seeking to resolve the goalkeeper problem of the team, after they have been negotiating with Antwerp to sign 23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Ramons.

Lamens is eager to join Manchester United and has missed Antwerp's past two games, but Antwerp needs to exchange for a considerable transfer fee to repay an external loan he had borrowed.

However, Lamens lacks high-level game experience. In contrast, Martinez is not only a member of the World Cup champion of Argentina and a two-time FIFA goalkeeper of the year, but also has 197 Premier League appearances.

After defeating Burnley 3-2 on Saturday, Manchester United coach Amorin admitted: "I think it is not easy to be a Manchester United goalkeeper right now."

Manchester United's current goalkeeper Baindel and Onana have both made mistakes this season. If Bruno Fernandez hadn't scored a penalty in injury time, Baindel's latest turnover would have cost Manchester United a chance to beat Burnley.

Turkish team Galatasaray is interested in Ramens, but if Manchester United determines that the Belgian youth international is the first choice, Galatasaray may also turn to Baindel or Onana. Manchester United people stressed that before the summer window is closed, the team will only sign one goalkeeper at most.

At the beginning of this summer window, Manchester United asked about the possibility of loaning Martinez, 32, but Aston Villa made it clear that they had no intention of letting them go.
