Can cats suffer from migraines?
Cats have headaches that can be caused by many different factors, including head trauma, brain diseases such as concussion, encephalitis, tumors, other diseases such as: upper respiratory tract infection, fever, dental problems, allergies, certain foods, dehydration, stress, etc. In addition to being able to speak, cats are also good at hiding their pain. Biologists believe this is a survival instinct to avoid threats from potential opponents.
So, if you suspect that your cat has a headache, the sooner you see the doctor, the better. Generally speaking, secondary headaches are easier to treat. Find the root cause and then solve the root problems, and the headache will be relieved.
But primary headache is more difficult. Because it's hard for you to find the exact reason. You will most likely have to note its daily habits and diet in order to explore possible reasons.
